It works only if the underlying systems support it. Governance demands auditability, traceability, and human oversight. A policy that requires explainable decisions cannot be met by black-box tools.
As regulation tightens, governance moves from optional to obligatory. Organisations need AI that is built to be governed, not retrofitted afterward.
