Knowledge Management

Knowledge management is the practice of capturing, organising, and making an organisation's collective expertise accessible, so that what people know is retained, reused, and applied consistently across the business.

Every organisation holds knowledge in documents, methods, and people's heads. Knowledge management turns that scattered store into a shared asset. Done well, it stops expertise from walking out the door and keeps decisions consistent as teams change.

Traditional knowledge management struggled with retrieval. Content was filed but rarely found at the moment of need. AI changes this. A structured knowledge base can now feed AI systems directly, so expertise reaches the point of decision rather than sitting in an archive.

The shift is from storing knowledge to activating it.
