Why we use it:

The purpose of testing is to ensure that you are making progress with your Problem/Solution fit (and later Solution/Market fit) by validating key hypotheses. The primary goal is to reduce the risk of a big failure as soon as possible and ensure that you are only moving a solution forward once it has been validated in the real world.


To prove your hypotheses most efficiently, you want to use the cheapest possible proxy that allows you to effectively test the assumptions underlying your Value Proposition and Business Model.
