Digital Leadership For Bosch: An International 10 Years Long High Potential Program
The Challenge
The special challenge that BOSCH had as the world market leader with high-quality standardized mass products was the paradigm shift to digitalization and the resulting rapidly changing markets that wanted adapted products faster and at lower cost.
Our Approach
To support this enormous cultural mindset shift, an extensive International High Potential Program with follow-ups was developed. Within the context of that global High Potential Program, we delivered a four-day seminar for over 10 years, weekly, on all continents, on the topic of leadership change in times of paradigm shift, including a case study.
The Outcome
The international high-potential seminars were so successful that we held follow-up seminars that developed these teams over ten years with innovative cutting-edge topics such as ambidexterity, paradigmatic mindset stage development, scrum agility, etc. - at a time when no one talked about it.
And all of this enabled Bosch to transition into a highly successful company of the third wave of digitalization.
Digital Leadership for the BSH Academy: a successful 30-years long journey
The Challenge
In our 30 years at the BSH Academy, we have been able to accompany a company that has transformed itself from a normal German company with standardized mass production into a global player in the age of digitalization.
Our Approach
We are firmly anchored in the Academy program on intercultural communication, paradigm shift and mindset development, as well as our simulation GLOBAL BRIDGES on international remote management. Departments of the Academy bring us in for strategy workshops, conflict issues, coaching, leadership, and communication, as well as for culture change in times of digitalization.
The Outcome
With our versatile set of methods and our breadth of content, we have been able to master all challenges together with the Academy.
For 30 years, with our in-depth experience and foresight, to still be in demand and to be called upon for the urgent questions and issues of today’s increasingly complex times is a great honor and distinction for us.
Digital Leadership for BMW: turning interculturality into a business growth enabler
The Challenge
BMW plant opening in Spartanburg - intercultural German-American conflicts between the American plant senior executive board in Spartanburg and the German executive board in Munich.
Our Approach
We started interviews with all participants and other employees in both countries. Then we developed and conducted a series of intercultural seminars to elicit current and basic cultural differences. Then we carried out several conflict workshops with all participants, followed by further analysis. The intercultural seminars were maintained and carried out by us, even years later.
The Outcome
We achieved with our measure the clarification of severe intercultural misunderstandings which led to enormous disturbances in the cooperation.
After uncovering and resolving these conflicts, the cooperation improved visibly and significantly, which was also reflected in the plant's performance in terms of figures.
Digital Leadership for a FinTec Company: decreasing time to market for innovations
The Challenge
Despite being a successful corporate partner for institutional investors for twenty years, with almost 30 billion euros under managemens, it was getting harder and harder for the company to win new clients and every now and then an established client quit the partnership. It simply took too long to develop innovative products, which meant the company launched new ideas only after the competition.
Our Approach
We took a close look at the process organisation - through interviews, workshops and observation. We followed the path of the work packages from the first request to the final delivery and identified bottlenecks, inefficient processes and, above all, a lack of communication between the organisational units working together. At these points, we were able to raise inefficiencies through consulting, coaching and training and make the silo structure of the organisation more permeable.
The Outcome
The time-to-market was almost halved preventing or at least shortening avoidable waiting times.
Plus the interfaces between the units was modelled according to requirements and coordination between the organisational units was ensured.
As a result, dependencies between departments could be recognised and planned for earlier, and cooperation made more frictionless.
